
In a web hosting service, a server stores a website’s files to make that site accessible for visitors. After one enters its address in the URL bar of their browser, their computer tries to connect to the system where that site is hosted. It then enables the visitor to access the site. The service comes in three main forms: ‘shared’, ‘VPS’, and ‘dedicated server’ hosting. Each type of hosting service varies by factors, including capacities like storage space and bandwidth.
